Foxy Cruise October 2008 - Bruges - By NuttyKaz!
October 26th, 2008Its 13th October 2008, another grey Monday morning here in Blighty, the case is packed and I’m off to the train station to make my way to Hull for another trip on the good ship Foxy this time to the beautiful city of Bruges in Belgium.
I get to Hull and am greeted by Chattycathy, Billy666 and Suziecolo who came by car! As the car boot is completely full with all Cathy’s handbags poor Billy666 ends up hugging my case in the back, good job the pub isn’t too far away eh! bingobase stop off at the local for a few drinks before heading off to the docks to check in with Foxy for our journey.
At check in Bingobase are greeted by more of the BingoPort family so BingoPort badges were handed out to all and lots of hugging took place as members met each other then Bingobase head off to find the Foxy table where Bingobase got our Foxy badges and a free drinks ticket for later in the bar, just the job after all that travelling.
Once onboard Bingobase dropped our cases in our rooms and headed off to find the most imbaseant place for the next 3 days, that’s right the bar! Bingobase gathered ourselves together in a big corner (to be known as Porters Corner) all wearing our super Foxy badges and of course our BingoPort Badges and settled down for a night of Bingo and laughter.
The night started with the on board entertainment and lots of flowing vodka (it seems to be the favourite amongst the baseers LOL) Then finally what Bingobase had all been waiting for, the bingo was about to start, Foxy had arranged 4 games of bingo over the night and Bingobase were about to get started with the first one. Eyes down guys, here goes…….
Porters Corner made an excellent start when Owens1 shouted for a super £420. Here’s what she said about her win: ‘What a great time I had on the foxy cruise! I was a bit worried about going on my own but that didn’t last for long, I was welcomed by everyone when I arrived at the ferry. Bingobase all settled down once Bingobase were on board then met up in the bar for a drink and a few games of bingo and everyone knew when someone had 1tg even the caller there was a bit of excitement over in our little corner lol so when my number 72 ( love that number lol ) came out everyone gave a big shout, they took the ticket to check I was so happy, then I was told it might be a false call, well I was marking with a big black pen and a bit drunk lol so I thought I hadn’t won it awwwwwwwww. Then they said I had, yessssssss £420 win wow and in my hand for shopping the next day. I had my photos taken and was asked to go on foxy radio live the next night, I went on the radio and said if it wasn’t for BingoPort I wouldn’t of found their great site. Thank you to everyone who made my trip so special, love you all and I hope to meet with you all again some time. A happy Owens1′
The Bingo continued and again Porters corner started to get excited with lots of 3tg’s and 2tg’s then a big shout YESSS BINGO! Yeah another win in our corner Shannon13 won a super £200, everyone was clapping and congratulating her.
The entertainment carried on for a while until the big £1000 bingo game started, everyone fell silent and started marking their cards, as Bingobase got closer and closer, there were ooh and arghhh’s all over the room, again Bingobase had people close in Porters Corner and Bingobase were all sitting listening intently to the caller then all of a sudden BINGOOOOOOOOO! Yesss again, Dawn from Porters corner had shouted for the biggy, whoop whoop. She won £1131 and even better she had arranged with Hottottie, Sammyplum and 1306 that if they won they would all share, so 4 Porters all got to share the biggest prize of the night! Woo Hoo! Foxy came for photos of all the lucky winners and everyone was given their prize money, so a very happy set of people were sitting in Porters Corner for the rest of the night. Lots of singing and dancing ensued, and even more drinking (I can’t believe the ferry held so much vodka) - not that I’m trying to say they all drink like fish LOL. And slowly as the night wore on people headed off to their beds, to get their heads down for the following day.
Tuesday morning, and again at 6am the captain very loudly woke us all up with his booming voice letting us know the restaurant was open and Bingobase had to be ready to leave the ferry at 9am. Everyone met between the cafe and the bar or actually outside on deck, where not only the smokers were having their wake up smoke but the rest of us were trying to let the wind and fresh air wake us up. LOL The weather in Belgium was fabulous, the sun was out, it was going to be a good day!
Bingobase filed onto the coach and within half an hour Bingobase were all dropped off at Bruges train station, the decision was taken to get the train to Oostende, so off Bingobase all trooped, Oostende was a lovely shopping town with lots of chocolate and sweet shops - Mmmm, Bingobase found somewhere to get breakfast (as none of us were awake enough to get it on the ferry) and sat down to a huge slap up meal that could have fed 30 people not the 12 of us that were there eating LOL.
After breakfast Bingobase thought it wise to walk off all that food, so Bingobase headed for a look around the shops, and a walk to the beach, Bingobase thought Bingobase might like to make a few sand castles but by the time Bingobase reached the beach Bingobase were all so exhausted Bingobase just grabbed a few photos of us in our very fetching BingoPort t-shirts and headed off to find another cafe/bar! After Bingobase had finished our shopping Bingobase headed back for the coach to the ferry, all saying what a good day we’d had.
Once back on the ferry it was decided by all that what was needed most was an hour in bed so that Bingobase were all refreshed for the evening’s entertainment, so off Bingobase went to our cabins with arrangements to meet back in our corner later that night.
It was 7pm and yet again Porters Corner was full and the vodka was flowing, although for some I don’t think it had stopped flowing since they arrived LOL. The cruise entertainment started and dancing again ensued, poor Foxy had lost his arm the night before whilst doing a jig on the dance floor so he sat it out tonight, but that didn’t stop our Patsygirl and Hottottie from taking over the dance floor. Shannon13 and Snuggles77 had spent all night making sure their make-up was perfect, well actually, they had pushed all the kids out of the queue for face painting and came back with bingo balls painted all over their faces - very fetching girls LOL. Everyone had a great night, lucky Cathy even managed to get to grips with a streaker out on the deck (poor poor guy) LOL.
As the evening wore on the drinks kept flowing and the chat and laughter never stopped, many new friendships were formed and fun was had by all (as I’m sure the photos show). Thanks to all who made the journey Bingobase had an excellent time, I certainly made lots of new friends and the happy people of Porters Corner ran off with most of the cash bingo prizes LOL. Thanks Foxy, see you for the next one guys!
